India Tours Ltd, is an independent UK travel agency, specially
established to market holidays in South India. It offers magnificent
mountain and lake scenery, rich in bird life. Especially beautiful is
the scenery found in the Lower Palani Hills and on the plains immediately
below the Western Ghats. It includes the Kamaraj dam, which is fed by
two mountain rivers. This location was painted by the famous Daniels
landscape Artists (uncle and nephew) in the 18th century. It is here
in Tamilnadu, South India that the Lakeside House is located and with
which our company has a direct and personal link. This helps to make
it an ideal introduction for first- timers to India.
Lakeside House was built in 1993 as the home of Joe Homan of the Joe
Homan Charity for India's poorest children. Its stunning location, soon
led to its development as a speciality, independent guest house, with
accommodation for ten persons only.
