Crime Prevention / Neighbourhood WatchThe message below is from the Cambridgehsire Police and has been forwarded to glinton.net. It seems to make a great deal of sense so it has been published on our website to ensure a wider audience. Of course this applies whereever you live, if you are not in this area please contact your local police station for advice. We are currently seeing a rise in house and shed/garage burglaries across the Western Sector neighbourhood police area. Please can you make the following crime prevention advice available to as many people as possible. Keep your eyes open for suspicious cars/vans and activity in your areas and contact the police if you have any information. Crime PreventionMost burglaries are committed by opportunist thieves. In two out of ten burglaries the thief does not have to use force - they can get through an open door or window. Best advice I can give is to start to look at your home through the eyes of a burglar!!!
Be a good neighbour and join a neighbourhood watch scheme - if there is none in your area and you would like to start one up, get in touch!!! Kind regards Carol Aston Mobile Police Station VisitsIf you are interested in the dates that the mobile police station is visiting the area, please visit our mobile police station page.
