Census Returns

As can be seen from the census returns for Glinton below, the population remained fairly steady until the 1950's. The ordnance survey map of 1950 shows the village expanding with a new housing estate being built in Welmore Road and houses in Helpston Road. It is assumed that this accounts for the large jump in the population after the 2nd World War.
